On Sunday, Sept. 24, as pumpkin harvest continued at the Assiter Punkin Ranch south of Floydada, a trailer partially loaded with produce caught fire. The organization first expressed concern for the trailer’s owner, Cris, and thanks to the fire department. The fire started in the trailer’s reefer unit, according to Assiter’s Facebook post later that day.
