Whirlwinds’ hoops hopes snapped by Greyhounds

    The #7 Floydada Whirlwinds ended their season Friday night, Feb. 21, in an Area championship upset against the under-ranked #14 Gruver Greyhounds.

    Dominating defensively, the Greyhounds were able to put a stop to Floydada by shutting down their lead scorers. Holding senior Sergio Valadez to his lowest all season of 13 points, and keeping senior Braun Hobbs and Tyrean Henderson both under ten points…
