Body The Floyd County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted a poster contest for students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. This year’s theme was “One Water.” Each winner won a ribbon and a cash prize.

Fair Theater Spring Break Movie Days slated for March 15 &16

Body The Fair Theater in downtown Plainview presents Spring Break Movies Days – Wed., March 15 and Thurs., March 16. Movies scheduled for the program include Coco on Wednesday (3/15) and Super Pets on Thursday (3/16). Show times for each movie are 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Floydada students win honors at district One Act Play

Body Floydada students took part in the district One Act Play competition in Sudan with “The Tell-Tale Heart,” an adaptation by Luella E. McMahon of the Edgar Allan Poe story. Although the play did not advance to Bi-District, several Floydada students were honored with recognition.

Body With winter and spring livestock shows going on across the state from Fort Worth to San Angelo to San Antonio, many young exhibitors from Floydada and Lockney FFA have been participating. We’re including a selection of photos here as a keepsake. Congratulations to all!

Floydada basketball: ‘F.T.T’— and all of it mattered

Body 216 or so Texas basketball programs made up class 2A, and out of all those towns, Floydada made it to the “Elite 8” in the UIL Regional Finals. And even with the loss, it all mattered.
