#10 Lady Winds end regular season against Clarendon and Quanah

Body The #10 Floydada Lady Winds hosted the Ropes Lady Eagles on April 7 for their final non-district regular season game of the season. The Lady Winds entered the game with an eight-game winning streak—with their last loss coming against Childress in a tournament game in February.

Floydada district tennis honors

Body Katie Landin took 2nd place and is a regional qualifier. In boys doubles, David Guerra and Ryan Tinoco took 3rd place and are regional alternates.Braeden Ramirez took 4th place. In mixed doubles, Tiffiny Perez and Martin Ramirez took 4th place.

Whirlwinds play Wellington, Clarendon for a chance at district championship

Body The Floydada Whirlwinds baseball team hosted the Lockney Longhorns on April 7 for the first game of the Floyd County Championship Series. The Whirlwinds entered the game seeking back-to-back victories after defeating Quanah on April 3.Floydada scored two runs in the first inning.
