Whirlwind baseball picks up two key wins

With bats coming alive and confidence emerging, the Floydada Whirlwinds baseball team may be peaking at just the right time.

The Whirlwinds grabbed a huge district win over Clarendon on the road April 16, taking the 5-3 win. Coach Jeffrey Fabila’s team did so by taking advantage of Clarendon errors to push five runs across the plate, despite not recording one hit in the game.
