Vegan leather? When I first heard the term, I supposed it was leather made from the hide of an animal that eats vegetables. Like a cow. Also, I vaguely pictured a vegetarian chewing on a piece of whatever it might be, sort of like the rest of us eat jerky and the way dogs gnaw on rawhide.

AUSTIN— Forecasters for the National Weather Service are anticipating a more active hurricane season this year because of record-warm ocean surface temperatures, the Texas Tribune reported. Hurricane season runs through the end of November.

What’s the difference between a violinist and a fiddler? Not the instrument. By any other name, a violin is a fiddle is a violin. Attitude makes the difference. Fiddle players have more fun. I heard this from a very good fiddle player who once took a stab at learning to play the violin.
