Linnie Pearl’s bread pudding

Linnie Pearl grew irises and other beautiful plants. She made tiny dresses for my naked dolls and knitted booties for the ones that lost their shoes. She was so gentle, and always smelled soft — like powder. Linnie was the perfect grandmother. Her handwriting was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

Given the choice, would you rather deal with a brusque human or a friendly robot?Tough question? Me, I’ll take the human. I’m starting to mistrust robots of all shapes and sizes and demeanors. When a robot ends a message with “warm regards,” you know they don’t mean it.
