Body Cut and come again. Gardeners that sowed seeds of leafy greens suggested in the “What to Plant Now” August 6 column likely already have established plantlets. Thirty- or 40-day-old greens will soon be ready for harvesting using the “cut and come again” method.

Body Given the choice, would you rather deal with a brusque human or a friendly robot?Tough question? Me, I’ll take the human. I’m starting to mistrust robots of all shapes and sizes and demeanors. When a robot ends a message with “warm regards,” you know they don’t mean it.

Body I’m delighted to see so many farmers’ markets still open around the area. This increases our opportunities of continuing to make fresh, healthy meals going into the remaining weeks of summer. As the season winds down, visiting one is a gorgeous way to spend a Saturday morning.
