Shawn Wade, who serves as PCG’s director of policy analysis and research, is leaving the Plains Cotton Growers organization after more than 34 years of service to take on a new role at Texas Tech University within the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. His last official day with PCG was May 14.
Wade will assume his new position as assistant director of the Fiber & Biopolymer Research Institute (FBRI) and the International Center for Agricultural Competitiveness (ICAC) at Texas Tech on May 15.
In his new position, Wade will work closely with FBRI director Dr. Noureddine Abidi and ICAC director Dr. Darren Hudson to support the research, outreach and educational missions of the two centers.
