    On Sunday, March 10, The Texas Spur (since 2021 the sister newspaper to the Floyd County Hesperian-Beacon) will be recognized by the Texas Historical Commission with the agency’s Texas Treasure Business Award.

    The designation recognizes local businesses have been in continuous for-profit operation in the State of Texas for at least 50 years.
