The Floyd County Hesperian-Beacon’s longrunning annual football contest ended this week after the regular season of football games, at the high school, college and professional levels.
Current rules stipulate three tiers of grand prizes going to the top three winning entries of the 10-week contest. In addition, the other seven top 10 finishers also receive a prize consisting of a year’s subscription to the Hesperian-Beacon. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in a brief ceremony later this week.
Brent Sanders of Floydada won first place and will receive the $150 prize.
