Souper Bowl of Caring fights hunger in Floyd Co.

  • CANS COLLECTED Last Friday night, Jan. 28, canned goods were collected at the basketball game between Floydada and Lockney. Mia Snowden was able to collect $138 in items from Floydada fans and $124 in items from Lockney fans. Each team scored two touchdowns and Floydada scored an extra touchdown for donating the most last Friday night. Thanks go to all who donated.     The Floyd County Souper Bowl Challenge was kicked off by Mia Snowden on Saturday, January 15.

    Snowden is a 4-H Healthy Texas Youth Ambassador serving Floyd County and the state, promoting healthy lifestyles and choices. She was inspired to organize a food drive for her county through the Souper Bowl of Caring campaign.
