Vera Dean (Poteet) Powell, age 86 formerly of Floydada, passed away in Liberal, Kansas, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Primitive Baptist Church. Interment followed at the Floydada Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
Vera Dean was born on December 15, 1935, the daughter of Calvin William Poteet and Ollie Thelma (Elliott) Poteet in Crosbyton, Texas.
Local survivors include her niece, Gail (Poteet) Dubois and nephew, Wayne Poteet, and many other nieces and nephews.
