Tracy Lee Webb, age 60, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, September 18, 2022. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Floydada. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the chapel of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Tracy was born on February 2, 1962, in Brownfield, Texas, to Judge Jay Webb and Margie Maxene Brasher Webb.
Tracy met and married the love of his life, Donna Rae Snell, on July 3, 1986.
Tracy was a hard worker throughout his entire life. He spent 17 years working for the state at TxDOT, before working for Floyd County for seven years as a heavy equipment operator. Other places that were blessed to benefit from his work ethic were Ace Hardware and Davis Farm Supply.
He was just as active when he wasn’t at work, because he enjoyed so many hobbies and interests. When his boys were young, he worked with them in both the Boy Scouts and in baseball.
Tracy was also a member of the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years and served in several offices, including assistant chief, while he was there.
At heart, Tracy was a creative soul and loved doing lots of different crafts. He loved woodworking and making one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Tracy was also known as “Mr. Fix-It” because he could work on and repair almost anything, large or small, and did so for many family members, friends, and anyone else who was in need over the years. He also had a passion for gardening and in the last few years managed to grow lots of great vegetables for his family and friends to enjoy, basically turning his backyard into a vegetable garden. By far, Tracy’s greatest love was for his family, especially his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren— they were his world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge and Margie; and a brother-in-law, Mark Snell.
Those left to cherish their memories of Tracy are his loving wife, Donna Snell Webb; his sons, Randy L. Webb and his wife, Windy Adams Webb, and Robert K. Webb and his wife, Audrey Grace Webb; his grandchildren, RayLee and Westin Webb; his brothers, Steve Webb and wife, Paula, of Burleson, Texas, Glenn Webb and wife, Lana, of Brownfield, Texas, Danny Webb and wife, Susan, of Ozona, Texas; his sister/cousin Robbye Hendrix; his sister-inlaw, Darolyn Snell; and many nieces and nephews and all of his “adopted” family and kids including Misty, Stevie, Niki, Shaylee and Shaybrea as well as several others. Tracy will also be greatly missed by his coworkers, who all became like brothers and family.
Donations may be made in Tracy’s memory to the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department, Lockney Volunteer Fire Department or Lockney Senior Citizens.
