A service to celebrate the life of Susan Dawn English was held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2023 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends.

Susan Dawn English was born on April 26, 1959, to John Dempsey and Marilyn Doucette in Miami, Florida. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she developed a love for ballet, fashion, and music. She loved the rain, the ocean, and the color orange. She was someone who always treated people with a smile, as well as someone who persevered no matter what obstacle she faced.
Susan listened to her music loud, drank her coffee sweet, and never turned down a conversation.
Susan was a daughter, a niece, a fine mother, and most of all an exceptional grandmother.
Susan is survived by her son, Dillon James English; grandchildren, Liam J. English, and Angelina M. “Lina” English; uncle, James E. “Jim” (Denise M.) Doucette; and cousins, James (Tracy) Doucette, Bernard (Ann Marie) Doucette, and Patrick (Iris) Doucette.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a cousin, Marie L. Doucette.
