Keith Marble, age 88, of South Plains, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Plainview. A funeral service was held 2 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2025, at the South Plains Baptist Church with Rance Young officiating.

Arrangements were under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Pierce Keith Marble was born December 7, 1936, in Floydada, Texas, to H.L and Lillian (King) Marble.

Keith was married to Neta Robertson on December 13,1960, in Plainview, Texas. They were married for 64 years.

Keith lived most of his life in South Plains, Texas. He attended South Plains School and graduated from Floydada High School in the class of 1955, where he was a starting guard for the Floydada Whirlwind football team.

Keith was a longtime farmer. In 1951 Keith, Don and Fred formed a partnership, Marble Bros. while they were all just teenagers. Over the years, they farmed land in Floyd, Hale, Briscoe, Castro and Motley counties, forging lifelong friendships with many of their employees, landlords, and their families.

Keith served his country proudly in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Smith, Arkansas; Fort Benning, Georgia; and Korea. He was a member of the 1st Missile Battalion, 42nd Artillery, Spec 4.

Keith was a member of South Plains Baptist Church, the South Plains School Board, the Lockney Rotary Club, and the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1175. He served as Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1175, along with many other positions. Keith served as the president of the Lockney Rotary Club and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. He was honored as a member of the FiberMax One Ton Club for producing 2,000 pounds per acre of FiberMax cotton.

Keith was preceded in death by his father and mother, H.L. and Lillian, as well as brothers Don Marble and Fred Marble, sister June Wells, sister-in-law Nancy Marble and best friend Glen Wood.

Keith is survived by his wife, Neta Marble; children, Keith Dwayne Marble of Denton and D’Lee Marble of Plainview; grandchildren, Tasha and Todd Jordan of Lubbock and Cheyann and Kody Williams of San Angelo; and greatgrandchildren, Tylee and Tinsley Jordan of Lubbock.
