Cathy was born February 16, 1955, to C.E. and Wanda Flippin.
She attended school at Providence and Kress, graduating from Kress High School in May of 1973. She also attended Amarillo College taking courses in Floral Design.
In 2003 Cathy opened her dream come true, “Cathy’s Floral & Gifts,” in Floydada. Cathy’s compassion was in every work of art that she created, whether it was celebrating the joys of a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or special occasion; or the heartbreaking loss of a loved one.
Cathy held many titles in her life: daughter, sister, wife and business owner. She gave each one her own brand of over-the-top love and dedication. Her greatest titles were “Momma” and “Nana.” Her joy was written all over her face when these titles were used. She lived her life attending many sporting events, birthday celebrations, weddings and family times enjoying hearing these titles used over and over. Hugs and kisses were always in abundance for those who called her Momma and Nana.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, C.E. and Wanda Flippin, and her grandson, Caysen.
She is survived by her husband, H.G. Graham of Lockney; her children, Rance Barnett and wife Rachel of Amarillo, Amanda Day and husband Scott of Happy, and Kalli Martin and husband Bryan of Floydada; her brother, Ricky Flippin and wife Susan of Plainview; and the “lights of her life” seven grandchildren, Keegan of Houston, Ryan, Aden, Cameron, Gabe, Jace of Amarillo and Mackenzie of Floydada. She is also survived by her nephews, Ty Flippin and wife Brandi of Decatur and their family and Ron Flippin of Plainview.
The family would like to thank Candy Edwards and Charla Adams for their dedication and love shown to Cathy over the years and especially during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Claytonville Baptist Church, attn: treasurers Larry or Deelane Buske, P. O. Box 384, Kress, TX 79052.
