Armandina “Mandy” Ramirez, age 70, of Floydada passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

Visitation was held from 12 noon to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024 and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Arrangements were under the personal care of MooreRose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Mandy was born August 19,1953 Rio Grande City, Texas, to Eligio and Lydia Garza; she moved to Lockney in 1964.

Mandy met the love of her life, Noe Ramirez, in 1969 in Rio Grande City and married September 25,1969. They moved to Lockney, Texas in 1972, where they started a family. They moved to Floydada on February 14, 1987.

Mandy was a member of Saint Mary Magdalen Church, was a Guadalupana, and a Eucharist minister. She loved and enjoyed cooking and helping the church.

Mandy enjoyed cooking for all her loved ones. She was most known for her mouth-watering tamales, enchiladas, and brisket tacos.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eligio Garza and Lydia Garza; her son, Noe Angel Ramirez; and a brother, Jose Garza, as well as her beloved doggie De’Shane Ramirez.

She is survived by her husband, Noe Ramirez; her son, Isaac J. Ramirez and his wife, Kari Ramirez of Lubbock; Maggie Ramirez and husband, Joe John Gloria, of San Antonio; Christina Ramirez and husband, Frank Montiel, of Lubbock, and Priscilla R. and husband, Jesis DeHoyos, of Floydada. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Alexis G. Trevino, Rhonda L. Trevino and Isaac Rodriguez, Sierra R. and Geoffrey E. Sanchez, Joshua D. Trevino and Gabby Muniz, Brreka M. and Josh M. Chavarria, Brogan Purser, Christian G. Gutierrez, Patrick R. Gutierrez, and Alexandria C. Ramirez; and her great-grandchildren, Darren B. Pleasant, Arielle R. Sanchez, Isaac A. Rodriguez and Madilynn S. Rodriguez.

Mandy loved the Lord and was a pillar of faith to all those around her. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
