Genoveva Villarreal, age 88, of Lockney, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney. Interment followed at the Lockney Cemetery.
Viewing was held from 4 to 6 p.m. The Rosary was recited at 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.
Genoveva was born on December 13, 1936 in Alamo, Texas, to Carlos and Leandra DeValle.
She married Juan B. Villarreal on November of 1953.
They were married for 69 years.
Genoveva enjoyed working at the Lockney Care Center for many years.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, cooking for her family and serving. She loved being around people and always smiling and saw the good in everyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan, in 2022; her son, Felix Villarreal, and her infant daughter, Juanita Villarreal.
These left to cherish her wonderful memories are here four daughters, Josie Gallegos and her husband, Joe; Eva Guerrero and her husband, Ruben; Leandra Vernon and her husband, Derek; and Georgia Odom and her husband, Kevin; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
