Linda Myrick Jackson, age 74, of Floydada, passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
The family has requested a private graveside service.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Linda was born March 13, 1949, in Floydada, Texas, to Clovis and Polly (Cantrell) Myrick.
She attended Floydada schools until her sophomore year, when her family moved to Lubbock. She attended Lubbock High and Coronado High, where she graduated in 1967.
She married Cecil Jackson May 8, 1971 in Floydada. She was a proud farmer’s wife and homemaker for most of her life. She was an excellent mom and even better Nana. She also worked as a secretary and bank teller at different times in her life.
She enjoyed sewing and embroidering projects, baking, shopping, making personalized books for gifts, and playing dress-up with her grandkids. She enjoyed just getting to spend time with her family, and hostess in family get-togethers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her children, Delinda and Marty Lucke and Brad and Tali Jackson; her grandchildren, Ashley and Lupe Lopez, Michaela and Thomas Adams, Delaney Lucke, Kailee Jackson, and Jaden Green; her great-grandkids, Holden Lopez and Lillian, Archer, and Jaxlee Adams; her brothers, Donnie and Greta Myrick, and Dwayne Myrick. She also leaves behind a vast network of extended family.
