Larry and Rhonda rode with the Pony Express for 5 years. Larry absolutely loved ranching, working with his cows and longhorn cattle and riding his horses. But most of all, he loved drag racing with his son, family and friends, and spending time with his daughter Shonda in the “man cave.”
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Sue Clark of San Angelo.
Those left to cherish Larry’s memory are his wife, Rhonda; his daughter Shonda Kay Guthrie; his son Chad Dale Guthrie and wife Shana, all of Floydada; and his one grandson, whom Larry loved dearly, Monty Stambaugh of Dumas, Texas.
Larry will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and all of his Fire Brothers and friends from here in Floydada as well as those from across the Panhandle and across the state.
Memorial donations may be made in Larry’s memory to the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department, 114 W. Virginia, Floydada, TX 79235.
