FLOYDADA—Servando Villareal Longoria, 83, of Floydada Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Viewing was held on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. A reception followed at the Massie Activity Center.

Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada, Texas.

Servando was born on February 5, 1939, in Paras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Servando met the love of his life, Josefina Robles, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Neuvo Leon, Mexico, and married her on November 22, 1964. They moved to California to start their new journey. While there Servando worked at a nursery, which he loved, because he had an amazing green thumb. In 1972, they ventured out to find their forever home in Floydada, Texas. Servando realized not only did he have an amazing green thumb, but he had a love for food. This is where they ventured out and bought their very own restaurant, Azteca Cafe. His heart loved being next to his wife cooking away in the kitchen and serving the community. Servando and his wife loved gambling on their off time. They would hop on a bus and off they went for a chance to be millionaires. He loved eating out with his family. His smile said it all!

He was the best father, grandfather, father-in-law; better yet, he was the “best man” all the way around. He was the most kind man you would ever meet. He shared his wisdom with many. He was quiet but subtle.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Servando is survived by his wife, Josefina Longoria; his children, Servando Longoria, Jr. and his wife, Jo Ann Longoria from Plainview, Texas, Leonel Longoria from Floydada, and Anthony Robles and his wife, Kristina Robles, from Lubbock, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He will deeply missed by all.
