Tess was the second born to Frances Barnett on January 6, 1975, in Lockney, Texas. Tess was raised with strong Christian values and even picked up piano playing from her late grandma, Penny Edwards.
Tess’s life was full of adventure and love. Tess met her husband, Michael (O.B.) Smith in the summer of ’96 and wedded in the early summer of ’97. Tess and O.B. built a foundation on love and trust and instilled that in their three children, Wade, 31, Brooklyn, 23, and Hunter, 21.
Tess found joy in her work, whether it was childcare or those who needed her assistance at the county clerk’s office. Tess’s greatest accomplishment in life was knowing her kids and grand children loved God and survived on his word.
She was met at Heaven’s gates by her mother, Frances Marie Barnett and grandmother, Penny Edwards.
Those still left to remember and cherish memories are her husband of 24 years, Michael Lee Smith (O.B.), son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Danny Hill and their three children, Hope Moore, Cooper Hill and Pake Hill of Russelville, Kentucky; daughter and son-in-law, Brooklyn and B.J. Jimenez and their daughter, Kinsley, son and fiancé, Hunter Smith and Delayna Williams, both of Plainview, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jim Adams of Plainview, Texas; and niece, Amanda Adams of Houston, Texas. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
