Darlene Reed, age 70, of Lockney, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2021 in Lubbock.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Lockney Cemetery.
Visitation was held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Darlene was born January 11, 1951 to Connie and Flois (Cunningham) Reed in Lockney. Darlene collected many different items that included dolls, tiny houses, beads, rocks and sequins. She loved animals and was an avid stamp collector. Darlene was a member of the Merry Mini Makers in Amarillo, the Panhandle 55+ Club and the Golden Spread Doll Club in Amarillo.
She was baptized in 1963 in the First Baptist Church in Lockney but was a member of the First Baptist Church in Panhandle, Texas, at the time of her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Connie and Flois Reed.
She is survived by two sisters, Connie Bertrand and husband Randy of Floydada, and Kaylene Medina and husband Enrique of Dickinson, Texas; one brother, Kelly Reed and wife Amy of Panhandle, Texas; and two aunts, Carolyn Cunningham and Nelda Morris, both of Lockney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
