OLTON—Mary L. Moore, 88, of Olton, Texas, died Monday, October 18, 2021, in Olton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton. Pastor Kyle Brock officiated.
Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Mary was born August 30, 1933, in Fieldton, Texas, to William Greene and Jewel (Dollar) Rigdon.
She married the love of her life, Truman Lee Moore, on September 3, 1955, in Clovis, N.M.
A member of the Slaton Dance Club, Mary loved to dance and listen to music, and taught all her daughters to dance.
Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Idalou and for over 20 years. She worked at MHMR in Lubbock. She was a member of the VFW post in Lubbock.
If you were friends with Mary, you knew you had a true friend. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she will be dearly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman Lee Moore, on February 12, 1971; five brothers; and one sister.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Taronna Moore of Fort Worth, Alisse Smyth and her husband, David, of Olton, and Missy Croager and her husband, Raj, of Arlington, Texas; one niece, Sandra Cummings, and her husband, Zach, of Lockney, Texas; and a nephew, Johnny Dorman and his wife, Julie, of Lockney/Fort Worth. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Chase Smyth and his wife, Erica, Elizabeth Cullum and her husband, Brandon, and John Gonzalez, Jr., and his wife, Tricia; and eight great-grandchildren.
