FLOYDADA—Roberta Hardin, age 88, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Floydada.
Interment preceded the memorial service and was held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Floydada Cemetery. Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Roberta was born June 7, 1932 in Floydada, Texas, to Robert and May Garrett.
After graduating from Floydada High School, she went on to college and received her bachelor’s degree in education. Roberta then taught school for 29 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers’ Association.
She was also a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Floydada, where she also served as an organist for the church from 1981 until 2004.
Roberta is survived by her husband, William D. “Bill” Hardin; her daughter, Rosemary, and husband, Jim Finley; her grandsons, Jesse Finley and wife, Amy, and Robert Finley; great-grandchildren, James and Aria; her sister, Edith Muncy; and her nieces, Penny and husband, Mike Giesecke, and Pam and husband, Russ Jones.
