FLOYDADA—Billy Womack, age 92, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Floyd County Memorial Park.
Visitation was held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Billy was born July 7, 1928 in Floydada to Arthur V. and Ida Belle (Hollingsworth) Womack. He was longtime farmer and rancher in Floyd County.
He met and married the love of his life, Mildred Margilene Jester, in Clovis, New Mexico, in 1956, and they were blessed with four children.
Billy loved his grandchildren and enjoyed traveling to see them in all their events. He also enjoyed attending stock shows and raising his own cattle.
Billy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Womack, and numerous siblings.
Those left to cherish Billy’s memory are his sons, Joe Womack, Jay (Darla) Womack, Tracy (Colleen) Womack, and Rick (Lana) Copp; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Womack and Jim Womack; and two sisters, LaJuana Harmon and Shirley Teague.
