The open meeting of the South Plains Genealogical Society will again be virtual.  Contact us at [email protected]and we will help you get connected using Zoom and your personal computer.

On Saturday, March 13, Kelvin Meyers will be speaking on the Territorial Papers that we have in the Genealogy section of the Mahon Library. The Territorial Papers are selected papers from the archives of the U. S. Post Office, the Senate Library, the Library of Congress, the General Accounting office, and the U. S. Departments of State, Treasury, War, and Interior.  These documents may provide direct or indirect evidence of the ancestor you are researching. Mr. Meyers will be explaining how to use these volumes more efficiently.  There will be an opportunity for questions and answers after the presentation.

Also, mark your calendars for the 2021 Caprock Genealogy Conference, Saturday, April 17. Billie Stone Fogarty, a professional genealogist, will be our guest speaker. There is more information at: www.caprockconference.org or email us at [email protected] .
