MUNCY – Floyd County youth showed off their finest animals in the annual Floyd County Stock Show held in the Floyd County Friends Unity Center in Muncy Jan. 7-10.
The steer, heifer and rabbit shows were held on Thursday, Jan. 7, and the remainder of the show along with the buyers’ meal was held on Saturday, Jan. 9. On Sunday, Jan. 10 a mandatory clean-up day was held.
The 2021 Sweepstakes Scholarship recipient was Ryder Glass. Other seniors receiving scholarships were Hunter Lefevre, Audrey Rexrode and Kalebh Cook.
In the Goat show, Michelle Guerrero showed the Grand Champion. She also showed the Reserve Grand Champion. Colby Guerrero won the Senior Showmanship and Michelle Guerrero won the Junior Showmanship.
In the Lamb show, Sydni Chesshir showed both the Grand Champion and the Reserve Grand Champion. Chesshir also won the Senior Showmanship while Michelle Guerrero won the Junior Showmanship.
In the Gilt show, the Grand Champion was shown by Kaileigh Cook and Carter Dunvien showed the Reserve Grand Champion.
In the Barrow show, Brighton Reese showed the Grand Champion and Kaileigh Cook showed the Reserve Grand Champion.
Senior Showmanship for swine went to Kalebh Cook and his sister Kaileigh Cook won the Junior Showmanship.
In the Dairy Heifer show, Ryder Glass had the Grand Champion and Brinley Lefevre won the Reserve grand Champion. Glass also won the Senior Showmanship with Lefevre taking the Junior Showmanship.
In the Heifer show, Avery McInvale won both Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion.
In the Steer show, Adaliyah Jones won Grand Champion while Jaxson Smith took the Reserve Grand Champion.
In the Beef Showmanship, Brailey Kidd won Senior Showmanship and Avery McInvale won the Junior Showmanship.
In the Rabbit show Lily Jimenez won both the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. Hannah Roberts won the Senior Showmanship and Mia Snowden won Junior Showmanship.
