This year, The Outcome helped the Lockney Salvation Army with the promotion, collection and distribution of toys to children in the Lockney community. They handed out items to families on Saturday, Dec. 19 as a drive-through at the First United Methodist Church in Lockney.
“It was a great success with many smiling faces and a beautiful day to hand out toys to the families,” said Denise Doucette, Lockney Salvation volunteer.
The Dollar General Store in Lockney was one of the collection sites for the community to donate an unwrapped Christmas toy as well as Happy State Bank in Lockney.
The Outcome is a grassroots movement to spread faith, fellowship and forward-focused thinking. Their mission is to create positive outcomes through unifying one another in purpose, one God, one person, one place at a time.
The Outcome will be implementing community outreach projects and initiatives in Lockney and Tulia. The Outcome is just getting started and is looking forward to all that is to come to spread good through the gift of giving in 2021.
The founders of The Outcome are Nichole Schmalzried and Kayla Sherman. Shelby Kidd, owner of SLK Photography in Lockney, is an assistant for The Outcome.

Doucette added, “The Lockney Salvation Army would like to thank all those in Lockney who assisted in making this toy drive a success: The Outcome, Lockney’s First United Methodist Church, the Dollar General Store, Happy State Bank, the Lockney ISD schools and the generosity of all those who donated a Christmas toy for the children in our community. It was truly a blessing for all.”
