Aurelio Castillo, Jr., age 75, of Floydada passed away, Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Plainview.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Floydada Cemetery. Public visitation was held from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m., Friday,December 4, 2020 in the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Aurelio was born June 3, 1945 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Aurelio Castillo, Sr. and Maria Elena (Hernandez) Castillo.
He met the love of his life, Rachael De Los Santos, and they were married 52 years when he passed.
Aurelio worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Templo Emanuel, Floydada and an honorary deacon.
Aurelio had a passion for wanting to bring people to know Jesus. In December 1968 he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and it forever changed his life. He had a big heart, a servant’s heart and he was always willing to serve where ever he was needed. Aurelio even took the time in his life to develop special bonds with each and every grandkid and great-grandkid!
Aurelio was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Dina Belen Castillo and Cathy Castillo; and one brother, Dario Castillo.
Those left to cherish Aurelio’s memory are his wife, Rachael; his daughters, Marissa Reyes and Sara Segura and her husband, Pedro; his son, Jaime Castillo and his wife, Laura; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Petra Gonzalez and husband, Enrique of Floydada, Ilda Vasquez and husband, Ricky of Lubbock, Maria Elena Luna from Seminole, and Norma Hernandez and husband, Joe of Floydada; 2 brothers, Cruz Castillo of Plainview and Pete Castillo and his wife, Pati of Plainview; and many nieces and nephews.
