Adaliyah Jones is a first year Floyd County 4-H’er. She is the daughter of Bryson and Andrea Jones of Lockney.
Jones is a freshman at Lockney High School and stays busy cheering on the Longhorns, playing basketball and running track.
This year is her first year showing steers, but Jones has several years of experience showing swine under her belt.
“I’ve learned a lot about sportsmanship both through playing sports and stock shows. I also have learned stock shows take a lot of self-discipline and dedication. I’ve made a lot of friends from different towns from taking part in both athletes and stock shows.
“4-H is a great program for all kids not just kids that take part in stock shows. It’s also a great way to learn about the projects you have interest in,” Jones said.
