Carmen Muniz, age 65, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020.
Graveside service were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Floyd County Memorial Park.
Open visitation was held Monday, October 19, 2020 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Carmen was born on June 14, 1955 in Edinburg, Texas to Eduardo Muniz, Sr., and Mary L. Govea Muniz.
Carmen worked for Lighthouse Electric Cooperative for over 45 years, until she retired in 2020 as a Senior Clerk for the company.
She was an avid collector of gems and precious stones. Carmen also enjoyed cross-stitch, geology, astronomy, and reading. She also loved spending time with her family. Carmen was a longtime member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo, Sr., and Mary and a nephew, Richard Muniz.
Those left to cherish Carmen’s memory are her three brothers, Mike Muniz and wife, Jana, Eddie Muniz, Jr., and Roy Muniz and wife, Kathy; her ten nieces and nephews, Christina and husband, Danny Longoria, Allison Muniz, Tyson Muniz and wife, Samantha, Trey Muniz and wife, Brooke, Ava Muniz, Robert Muniz, and Onelee Muniz; and one great-nephew, Gavin Muniz.
