Jerry McGuire, age 62, of Floydada passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 peacefully surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Plainview.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2020 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Jerry was born November 21, 1957 to Jimmy and Joyce (Dosher) McGuire in Friona, Texas.
Jerry is leaving behind a legacy of love. Love of God, his family, and the land. He was a cultivator of relationships first and foremost. Relationships that will forever be impacted because of Jerry’s love that overflowed out of him so naturally. To know Jerry was to be loved by Jerry.
He had a great love for his country, for cotton farming, fishing, woodworking and his role as “Pop” to six beautiful granddaughters.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Joyce McGuire; his in-laws, Carmel and Lucy Eastham; and his brother, Johnny McGuire.
Those left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Jodie; his daughter, Jamie Stice and her husband, Justin; his son, Justin McGuire and his wife, Danica; his granddaughters, Tatum, Emery and Adelyne Stice, and Gracyn, Finleigh, and Curri McGuire; his brother, James McGuire and his wife, Peggy; his sisters, Janet Thetford and husband, Stephen, and Jackie Combs and husband, Donnie; and many nieces and nephews.
