FLOYDADA – Floyd County 4-H’s monthly photo contest results are in for July. The theme was fireworks and some pretty amazing entries were chosen.
Karis McIntosh placed 1st and received a $15 gift card, Gabby Cervantes placed 2nd and Karis McIntosh placed 3rd.
This 4-H project is a favorite of a lot of the 4-H members. Floyd County youth are allowed to showcase their passion and talent through the lessons. This project was designed to encourage the youth to develop an eye for beauty, the unexpected and the unusual. Most importantly this project encourages self-expression and allows the youth to demonstrate photography skills accomplished.

Texas AgriLife Agent Cristen Brooks is the photography project instructor. Every monthly contest is judged by an AgriLife agent from another county.
The August monthly contest theme is domestic animals.
