RSVP offers volunteer kits

Elsa Cooper of Lockney, left, and Sherry Hacker of Floydada show the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program “Volunteer Kits.” The two will be passing these kits out in their respective communities.  The Volunteer Kits are for protection while volunteering or as you go about your day around town and include three masks, a pair of gloves, a towelette and a 4 oz. hand sanitizer.  The hand sanitizer bottle can be refilled by bringing it into the RSVP office.  RSVP has been in Floyd, Hale and Lamb counties for 47 years, linking volunteers age 55 and over with community service.  There is no cost to join, and it is one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the nation.  The RSVP office is located at 825 Austin, inside the Unger Memorial Library, in Plainview, Texas, and sponsored by the City of Plainview.
