By Korney DeBock/Chamber Manager—
FLOYDADA – The Floydada Chamber of Commerce dusted off its coveted red ribbon and scissors for two post-COVID-shutdown ribbon cuttingsJZ.
The chamber started at The Scoop, which is owned and operated by Kylie Rickets and Kiana Brown. The 19-year-olds are recent graduates of Floydada High School and are spending their summer providing edible cookie dough, ice cream and drinks on the Ralls Highway in their little drive-thru shack. These young entrepreneurs are open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Next, the chamber team traveled across town to Whirlwind Nutrition. This Herbalife-based business has been in operation for a while but recently opened the storefront in the S and J Tarp Repair building (the old Babes). Offering healthy tea or shakes, Giovanna Batres provides a variety of flavors with different daily specials in the rustic, chic little tea spot at 406 East Missouri Street or call 806-518-9214 to place an order.
