Louise Davis Campbell, age 73, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Floydada Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday, June 26, 2020 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Louise was born January 18, 1947 to Noah and Mary Davis, Sr. in Bryant, Texas.
Louise worked in numerous caregiver positions including several years at the Floyd County Daycare Center at Della Plains, and at the Lockney Nursing Home.
She also received several accreditations over the years, including: a Certification from the Department of Vocational Homemakers in 1965, a Scouters Wife Award in 1971, a certificate of completion from Ambassadors College Correspondence Courses of Pasadena, California in 1991, and a teachers’ aide Diploma from Harcourt Learning Direct in 2001.
Louise loved the game of basketball and that stemmed from her high school days when she played on the Della Plains Hornettes and they won the District Championship. She also had a great love of gardening.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, John Campbell and her parents.
Those left to cherish Louise’s memory are her daughter, Althea (Eugene, Jr.) Green; her son, Cornelius (Lisa) Campbell; grandchildren, LaShauntee Wellington, Chance (Sarah) Campbell, Chelsea Campbell, Emerald Green, and Eugene Green III; great-grandchildren, Andrew Wellington II, Kenyan Campbell, Evelyn Campbell, and Elyza Hood; siblings, Noah Davis, Jr., Hattie Collins, Dannie Ray Davis and Earl Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
