John Campbell, age 84, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
John was involved in the community and worked for various stores in Floydada. He had his personal business, Campbell Framing, he worked for 52 years at Kirk and Sons, 5 years at Caprock Community Action, 13 years at the Capada Theatre, 1 year at Friends Convenience Store, and 10 years at Allsups Convenience Store.
He also served on the Floydada ISD Board. John was named Man of the Year in 2013 and was a member of the Floydada Chamber of Commerce and the CME Methodist Church.
His hobbies included fishing.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Andrew Campbell, Sr. and Gertie Campbell, two brothers, Raymond Campbell, and Lee Andrew Campbell, Jr., and four sisters, Velma Coleman, Mildred Black, Bobbie Minnitt, and Juanita Price.
John was survived by his wife of the home, Louise (Davis) Campbell; daughter, Althea Green (Eugene, Jr.); son, Cornelius Campbell (Lisa); five grandchildren, LaShauntee Wellington, Chance Campbell (Sarah), Chelsea Campbell, Emerald Green, and Eugene Green III; great-grandchildren, Andrew Wellington II, Kenyan Campbell, Evelyn Campbell, and Elyza Hood; siblings, Carrie Davis, Stella Jones, Clarissa Wells, and James Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.
