Jerrold Neil Vinson passed away at Covenant Hospital on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the young age of 87.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Floydada. Interment followed at the Floyd County Memorial Park. There was no visitation. Family and friends were welcome at the home after the service.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Jerrold was a farmer in Harmony Community for many years before he retired in 2001. He was an avid golfer and taught his boys how to play and love the sport. He and his wife loved to visit the beach and enjoy the sun and the sound of the waves. He served on many boards including Lighthouse Electric, Floydada Coop Gin and the Floydada ISD School Board. He will be lovingly missed by all.
Jerrold was preceded in death by his parents, Maggie and Oliver Clark Vinson, and 4 sisters.
Jerrold is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Belle Fults Vinson. He is lovingly remembered by his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren: Michael Neil Vinson of McKinney Texas and his wife, Maryann, their children, Myca and her husband, Chase Phillips, Max Vinson and his, wife Vera, Robert Mark Vinson from Lubbock, Texas and his wife, Barbara, their children Tyler Vinson and his wife, Kayla, Jenna and her husband, Ryan and their children, Neilee, and Blakelee, and Lori Vinson from Lubbock Texas and her children, Emory Gilly of Sequin, Texas and his wife, Michelle, their children, Tanner, Ashlyn and Jace; Jessica Mole of Lubbock, and her husband ,Adam and their children Kashton, Addison and Graylen.
