MUNCY – Floyd County youth showed off their finest animals in the annual Floyd County Stock Show held in the Unity Center on Jan.9-11. The steer and heifer shows was held on Thursday, Jan 9. and the rest of the show was held on Saturday, Jan.11 followed by the buyers’ meal and sale. On Sunday, Jan. 13 it was mandatory clean-up day.
The 2020 Sweepstakes Scholarship recipient was Jose Lira. Other seniors receiving a scholarship were Ruth Ramirez, Andrew Suarez and Kaylee McInvale.
In the Goat show, Michelle Guerrero showed the Grand Champion. She also showed the Reserve Grand Champion. Colby Guerrero won Junior Showman Ship.
In the Lamb show, Sydni Chesshir showed Grand Champion and the Reserve Grand Champion. Keanu Villarreal won the Senior Showmanship award and Sydni Chesshir won the Junior Showmanship award.
In the Gilt show, the Grand Champion was shown by Kalebh Cook and his sister, Kaileigh Cook
showed the Reserve Grand
In the Barrow show, Hazel Lloyd showed the Grand Champion and Payten Shuping showed the Reserve Grand Champion.
Senior Showmanship for swine went to Kalebh Cook and Junior Showmanship went to Adaliyah Jones.
In the Dairy show, Ryder Glass had the Grand Champion shown by Wyatt Bigham. Ryder Glass also had the Reserve Grand Champion which was shown by Hunter Lefevre. The Senior Showmanship award went to Hunter Lefevre and the Junior Showmanship went to Brinley Lefevre.
In the Heifer show, Kaylee McInvale showed the Grand Champion and the Reserve Grand Champion was shown by Avery McInvale.
In the Steer show, Brody Hughes showed the Grand Champion and Rilynn Hinsley showed the Reserve Grand Champion. Kaylee McInvale won the Senior Showmanship and Rilynn Hinsley won the Junior Showmanship.
