Eduardo S. Muniz, Sr., age 89 of Floydada, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2019.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Floyd County Memorial Park.
Rosary was recited at 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Eduardo was born July 11, 1930 in Pleasanton, Texas to Tomas and Manuelita (Salinas) Muniz. He met and married Mary L. Govea on August 15, 1952 in Edinburgh, Texas.
Eduardo worked for over 40 years at the Floydada Co-op Gin and was the Gin Foreman when he retired in 1995.
He was also a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Eduardo enjoyed wood working, welding and fabricating, and collecting pocket knives. One of his most enjoyable ways to spend time was visiting with his friends all around town.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; and one grandson, Richard Muniz.
Eduardo is survived by his daughter, Carmen Muniz; his sons, Mike and his wife, Jana Muniz, Eduardo Muniz, Jr., and Roel and his wife, Kathy Muniz; 10 grandchildren, Christina and husband, Danny Longoria, Allison, Tyson and wife, Samantha, Trey and wife, Brooke, Ava, Robert and Onelee; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Muniz.
