Hurl David McCoy, age 87 of Lockney, was called home on Sunday, June 16, 2019.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Interment followed at the Lockney Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Hurl was born August 29, 1931 to Mack Dora McCoy and Nellie Goodwin in Madill, Oklahoma. Hurl was a longtime farmer in Floyd County. After retiring he also loved hunting, fishing, dominoes and traveling. He was a talented musician and loved playing both the harmonica and guitar. Hurl also enjoyed repairing bicycles for needy children.
Hurl is survived by his son, Harold David McCoy; daughters, Patricia McCoy Mullin and husband, Michael, and Virginia McCoy Stapp and husband, Randall; grandchildren, Amy, Lisa and Krystal Mullin; Misti, Ashley, Brittany, and Chelsea McCoy; Chad and Tessa Stapp; great-grandchildren, Michael, Tristin and Madallen Gattis; Tyler, Jacob, and Courtney Sander; Eddie and Nadia Rodriguez; Nash James, Zoey, and Belle Christenberry; Azlee and Joshua McInally; Madelyn Rose Miller; Shelbie, Nash, Lanie, Randi Jo, and Sunny Stapp; and Benton, Teagan, Scout and Remi Rogers; and great-great grandchildren, Aaralyn and Jaxon; and siblings, Mendon (Tom) Ray and wife, Bertha Jo Ray, and Haskell Thomas Ray and wife, Shirley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Area Community Hospice, 4300 Olton Road, Plainview, Texas 79072.
