Guadalupe Duran, age 71, of Floydada passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at City Park Church of Christ in Floydada. Open Visitation was held Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Guadalupe was born September 9, 1947 in Lockhart, Texas to Thomas Duran and Porfiria Casillas. He married Rosalinda Villarreal and they had three children – son, Guadalupe Duran, Jr., and two daughters, Tammy Castellano and Juanita Duran.
Guadalupe worked for several years as a farm hand and in highway construction. He also worked at Cargill for 19 years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Porfiria Duran; twin daughters, Lupita and Juanita Duran; brothers, Chele and Frankie Duran; sister, Mary Duran; and granddaughter, Marissa Garza.
Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Duran; his children, Guadalupe Duran, Jr., Tammy Castellano and Juanita Duran; two sisters, Teresa Rodriguez and Esther Ramos; his 15 grandchildren, Jonathan Ryan Garza, Marissa Marie Garza, Michael Brandon Garza, Matthew Joshua Garza, Nathan Bradley Garza, Kristopher Lee Cortinas, Ashley Ann Garcia, Modesto Ellis, Jr., Chelsey Nicole Ellis, Ethan Jessiah Duran, Faith Neveah Duran, Malachi Nasir Duran, Guadalupe Duran III, Lillianna Cristal Duran and Arianna Melody Duran; and 20 great-grandchildren.
