Frank Langley Covington, age 70, of Dougherty, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Roaring Springs Church of Christ in Roaring Springs.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Frank was born November 12, 1948, in Matador to Bobby Hall and Eunice (Langley) Covington. He married Tomi Dycus on May 15, 1970. Frank was a man that could do many things and had many diverse interests. He was not only a wonderful chuckwagon cook but built chuckwagons too. He did all types of fencing and cattle work for his cousins. He could build or make whatever he needed.
He loved animals especially horses and dogs. Frank also enjoyed vintage cars, motorcycles, target shooting and even poetry. Other activities Frank participated in were a school TV and computer assistant, he assisted with fire truck maintenance for the Dougherty Volunteer Fire Department, and was a participant in the 1984 Olympic Trials in Archery.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tomi Covington; his brother, Robert Covington and wife, Sylvia; his nephew, Eric Covington; his niece, Erin McCaskill and husband, Jimmy and their daughter, Paige and son, Kelton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
