I wish someone would post services available for maid service/house cleaning in Floydada. We need a bonded, liscenced maid service available locally.

Hello,I think there are bigger issues than paying for the online paper. Like why don't this town grow? Is there something wrong with this town? Is there something that the citizens of floydada can do to fix this.I am just asking because i want this town to be here for many years. I am tired of seeing this town falling apart little by little.

It is really annoying to have to pay so much for a small community paper. I would think you would want people away from the county to know what is going on and the online paper is a great way to do that except when you are charging so much. I would like to know what is going on back home but can't because of the cost.

Hello, fellow citizens. As you know floydada has been host to a string of robberies lately, the perpetrators have been identified countless times by many different sources throughout floydada. This is not meant to be slanderous in any sense of the word, after all we are all innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. It's just that the rate of crime has gone up significantly over the past few months and the police cannot do anything without proper evidence. This of course is a terrible shame because Floydada used to be a really nice place to live in. Thank you, and be safe.

I am surprised that one has to subcribe in order to learn what is going on in Floyd county. I can read the Washinton Post, New York Times and USA today for free. Yes, they do have advertisers that allows online newpapers, but is there no angle to help offset the costs for an online paper? I would think that floyd county would want to promote the benefits of the area to as many people as possible.

In reference to the Linda Milazzo article in the Dec. 3rd edition, I'm puzzled as to why Mr. Blackburn should feel he is obligated to abide by the Fairness Doctrine since it was deactivated in 1987. This is the only reason I could think of to allow just left wing drivel in his otherwise great small town newspaper of which I like and respect. Ms. Milazzo's charges that Mr. Cheney is receiving help from the media is totally laughable. Readers who share the opinions of Ms. Milazzo have nothing less than virtually all of the main stream media to listen to and this includes all network, all major newspapers, and all cable channels with the exception of Fox of course. And she is whining about Fox?? One outlet??  To imply that the Bush Administration stonewalled and tried to work in secrecy is exactly what the Obama crew is doing with blatant complicity from the media. Their not even trying to hide it. For at least six solid years the media was dedicated to tearing down the last administration and she has the gall to write something like this? Ms. Milazzo is living in a vacuum.

I cannot believe an online newspaper is requiring a paid subscription, no matter how minimal the amount is!

I was born and raised in Floydada and I am always wanting to know what is going on back home. I am very excited to see this online. It is now a much better site than before and look forward to reading it each week! Thank you!

You have the beginning of a super web site for Floydada and Lockney but for it to replace the newspaper it needs to be updated on a fulltime basis. Someone needs to keep the data fresh...and that will get more subscribers as I see it. Go for it.

No doubt this site has a great potential and I have already left you a positive note. Well it has been two and the front photos are still the same. That is a clear indication that someone is NOT minding the paper.

Site looks great! Glad you're back. Only one comment and it's just my opinion....but, I think the obits would be easier to read if they weren't italicized....
