Sue Daniels, 1941–2024

Sue Daniels, age 82, of Floydada, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Floydada.

A graveside service was held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Brownfield Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

Arrangements were under the personal care of the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Sue was born on September 27, 1941 in Socorro, New Mexico, to Ernest and Dessie Burris.

After graduating from Wayland Baptist University, she taught in Floydada and Brownfield.

She married Zeddie Lee Daniels on July 15, 1973 in Brownfield, Texas.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Zeddie Daniels; a daughter, Zan D’Lee Merritt; five brothers, Delvis, LA, John, Garvin and Merritt; two sisters, Ermagene Sanders and Ernestine Dockery; and her parents, Ernest and Dess Burris.

She is survived by her son, Trent Brandon Daniels and wife, Meregen Jane, of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandsons, Braden Daniels of Fort Worth, Texas, and Luke Merritt of Stephenville, Texas; one sister, Ethelyn Vernon of Lockney, Texas; brothers-in-law Clay Daniels and wife, Nancy, of Dallas, Texas, and Danny Daniels and wife, Sue Daniels, of Abilene, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Calvert Hospice and the Prairie House of Plainview.
